The inaugural Outback Queensland Masters event tees off this month, culminating in a $1 million hole-in-one opportunity in Mount Isa.
It will be staged across six Outback Queensland locations from June 17 to July 28, including Roma, Charleville, Longreach, Winton, Boulia and Mount Isa.
The Outback Queensland Masters concept is being presented by Golf Australia, with support from Tourism & Events Queensland and the PGA, to help boost visitor numbers throughout the regions.
“We’re encouraging visitors to adventure Outback during an incredible array of experiences and events, including Midnight Oil live at the Big Red Bash in Birdsville, cinema under the stars at Winton’s Outback Festival and the famous Boulia Camel Races – just to name a few,” Golf Australia Queensland manager Luke Bates said.
The Outback Queensland Masters is a progressive golf tournament.
To qualify to take the drive at the $1 million hole-in-one in Mount Isa, participants will have to play at least two other courses first.
The tournament dates are:
Roma: 17th & 18th June
Charleville: 22nd & 23rd June
Longreach: 29th & 30th June
Winton: 13th & 14th July
Boulia: 22nd & 23rd July
Mount Isa: 26th, 27th & 28th July
