Businesses planning to boost their street appeal are being offered a financial hand up by Cloncurry Shire Council.
The Cloncurry Shopfront Revitalisation Grant is a new initiative for council to show support for Cloncurry businesses, Mayor Greg Campbell said.
“The grant is available for businesses in the central business district with up to $10,000 available for assistance with physical work on shopfronts to increase the street appeal,” he said.
“Council has a focus on streetscaping throughout the town and increasing the street appeal when driving into Cloncurry. We want to increase livability and showcase the town that we are all proud of to everyone.”
The grant will provide up to $10,000 matching dollar for dollar grants for shopfront improvements.
Improvements may include painting, signage, improving accessibility access and repairs to structural façade.
Cloncurry Shopfront Revitalisation Grant guidelines and nomination forms are available online at www.cloncurry.qld.gov.au/grants. Nominations close October 25.
