North Queensland businesses, councils and not-for-profit organisations will have the chance to learn how to prepare stronger grant applications through a series of workshops this month.
Regional Development Australia is holding free regional workshops, in partnership with local, state and federal governments, to provide updates on grants and programs and advice on developing strong applications for the Building Better Regions Fund.
RDA chief executive officer Glenys Schuntner said the Australian Government’s Building Better Regions Fund was just for rural, regional and remote communities.
“The program provides funding for both infrastructure projects and community investment that will create jobs, drive economic growth and build stronger regional communities,” Ms Schuntner said.
Applications close for the Infrastructure Projects Stream on February 28 and the Community Investments Stream on March 31.
The workshops will also include information on Australian and Queensland Government grants and programs administered by AusIndustry and their partner Townsville Business Development Centre and the Department of State Development.
The free RDA workshops in January will be held in the following regions; Charters Towers on January 16, Hughenden and Richmond on January 17, Julia Creek and Cloncurry on January 18, Mount Isa on January 19 and Normanton on January 30.
Free tickets can be booked online through Townsville Tickets and Mount Isa Tickets.
RDA will also be holding Building Better Regions Fund workshops in other regions over the coming weeks, including; Townsville, Mornington, Burketown and Ayr.
