Central Queensland water industry workers will gather in Yeppoon this month for a training forum on water quality and distribution systems.
Organised by Queensland Water, the workshop will see attendees run through a practical training program which is aimed at upskilling those in the industry.
Livingstone Shire councillor Adam Belot said the council was delighted to help facilitate this professional development opportunity, not only for its own staff but for the government and private sector as well.
“This workshop will canvass a range of topics which are relevant to the region, including around catchments, storages, repairs, maintenance, backflow prevention, cross connections plus hydrants and system cleaning,” he said.
The workshop is being held at The Strand Hotel on February 23 from 8am.
