Applications for the water industry’s 2018 PASS award have been extended and will now close on Friday, March 9.
The Water Industry Operators Association of Australia award encourages operational staff to share their in-the-field innovations and fixes to problems so that others in the water industry can benefit.
It is reflected in the name – Problem Accepted – Solution Supplied (PASS).
The 2017 winner was Marcus Boyd from the Toowoomba Regional Council, who designed and developed a tool with a team of fitters to allow replacement of the mixer baseplates in the Biological Nutrient Removal (BNR) plant bioreactor, avoiding the need to take the plant offline.
This year’s winner will join the WIOA team on their annual operational tour of New Zealand, including attendance at the Water Industry Operations Group of NZ annual conference.
