Schneider Electric will work with WSP Parsons Brinckerhoff to design the data centre at the heart of FKG Group’s $100 million Toowoomba Technology Park.
Pulse Data Centre, as it will be known, will be the anchor of the new 29ha technology park development at FKG’s Witmack Industry Park.
The data centre will comprise three separate buildings, each with independent mechanical and electrical infrastructure.
Schneider Electric – a global specialist in energy management and automation- has entered into a formal strategic alliance Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with FKG Group.
The MOU gives the FKG Group access to the full range of Schneider Electric products and services, as well as the company’s expertise.
“Working with Schneider Electric, we have the confidence of the backing of a large, global partner,” FKG Group general manager data centres Peter Blunt said.
“We see this relationship as one which will continue to develop over many years, and that will extend benefits not only to the FKG Group, but also to our customers.”
Construction of the centre is expected to be completed around February 2017, with tenants able to move in around April 2017.
As work packages are released for tender, additional information for suppliers and subcontractors for the construction project will be made available through FKG Group’s Estimate One account at https://app.estimateone.com/s/fkgardner/
