Construction Skills Queensland is showcasing about $135 billion worth of major project opportunities throughout the state with an online ‘Knowledge Centre’.
The interactive online platform includes snapshots of the committed or planned projects on a region-by-region basis and forecast annual growth in construction activity.
North West Queensland has $284.6 million worth of committed projects, $2.1 Billion planned, and a forecast annual growth of 38 per cent in construction activity. More HERE
Featured projects include Glencore’s $400 million Black Rock Cave mine expansion, a $53 million upgrade of the Kennedy Developmental Road and the planned $30 million Cloncurry rail loading facility.
Central Queensland is another growth area with a major shortage of construction workers expected against a backdrop of $3.7 billion in committed projects and $16.4 billion planned. More HERE
Featured projects include the $1 billion Gladstone Energy and Ammonia Project, $1.5 billion Rockhampton Ring Road and $30 million Kortes resort.
