Registrations close next week for an Australia-wide roadshow which will visit Townsville to give local businesses the chance to be a part of Army’s LAND 400 project.
Member for Herbert Phillip Thompson said the LAND 400 Phase 3 Mounted Close Combat Capability Roadshow was a huge opportunity for local industry to pitch their capabilities to shortlisted tenderers.
Defence will conduct the roadshow in March-April 2020 with Hanwha Defense Australia and Rheinmetall Defence Australia.
“Land 400 Phase 3 will acquire and support up to 450 Infantry Fighting Vehicles to replace the M113 Armoured Personnel Carriers and up to 17 Manoeuvre Support Vehicles,” Mr Thompson said.
“I’d urge local companies not to miss out on the chance to speak directly to Defence and the Land 400 Phase 3 tenderers about how they can support the project.”
Registrations to participate in the roadshow close on February 21.
