Hassalls is re-marketing 26 heavy earthmoving assets across two tenders in the Bowen Basin this week.
National Resources Account Manager Steve Wainhouse said the machines
were being sold as part of fleet replacement measures from two coal mines.
They are expected to draw about $4–5 million.
“We are receiving a lot of interest both locally and offshore for the assets, with the off -highway trucks and 300-plus tonne excavators expected to be put back to work by Tier 2 and 3 contractors domestically,” he said.
“Alternatively the Komatsu dozers are receiving a large amount of interest into the Asian market, predominantly from China as they are the largest users of 475 dozers.
“We also receive package prices from dismantling companies that will strip the assets for components to be refurbished and sold back into the mining industry nationally through the equipment exchange services set up for Tier 1 miners. ”
The tenders close his Thursday (May 23) at 3pm.

Hassalls also has a significant heavy equipment auction coming up in Mackay this weekend.
A range of R-model Mack trucks, transport and earthmoving equipment from Caterpillar, Clark and Komatsu will go under the hammer on May 25.
Mr Wainhouse said this sale was the result of a fleet rationalisation by a contractor based in the Mackay hinterland.
