Liebherr will use the Bauma 2019 trade fair in April to present a new fast-erecting crane, the 125 K.
The new machine has been specially developed for civil engineering requirements such as road traffic bridges and commercial as well as industrial building construction.
With a radius of 55m and a maximum hook height of 65.5m, the manufacturer says it is the largest fast-erecting crane on the market.
It has an initial hook height of 29.5m as standard and five tower sections can be added for a total hook height of 41.5m.
If the hook height still isn’t sufficient, the 30° luffed jib position enables an impressive 65.5m hook height.
The Liebherr crane has an 8000 kg maximum load capacity and with a 55m radius at the jib head. A Load-Plus function allows a 1300kg lift at the jib head.
With its 3.2m slewing radius, the Liebherr 125 K fast-erecting crane is able to fit into very small spaces. Thanks to its variable slewing radius, which can be extended to 4m, the amount of transportable ballast can be reduced – which in turn reduces costs.
Liebherr said that until now, large fast-erecting cranes could only be transported via semi-trailer. However, it has expanded the transport options as the 125 K can also be towed as a trailer by a conventional truck.
For this, Liebherr Tower Cranes offers the axle system LiTRAX.
