JJ Richards gets a grip with Cat machinery update

Australia’s first MH3026 was delivered this month to JJ Richards & Sons at Oxenford, Queensland.

Supplied by Hastings Deering, this Cat material handler is purpose built for industrial and recycling applications.

The machine capacity is 25 tonnes to 26 tonnes, depending on configuration and work tool.

The manufacturer promotes this model as providing a quick response to changing loads, while delivering the same amount of power regardless of operating conditions.

It says the MH3026 offers a great compromise between the agility, versatility and performance of a wheeled excavator and the stability,
efficiency and power needed to cope with industrial, scrap, waste recycling and bulk handling operations.

The design features a high visibility 2400 mm elevated cab.

The JJ Richards machine is the first model in this series in Australia and is fitted with an Caterpillar Orange Peel Grapple, model GSH520-750.
