Minotaur Exploration has reported positive results from inaugural ground work at the recently acquired Highlands project, 50km north-east of Mount Isa.
The company said rock chip samples collected along a fault zone contained highly elevated copper to 16.9 per cent, gold to
1.6g/t, silver to 7.6 g/t and cobalt to 454ppm.
This geochemical association, along with geological and geophysical features, showed strong similarities to the nearby Barbara deposit, Minotaur said.
Site establishment work is complete for a drilling program expected to begin this month, commencing at the Gospel prospect before moving to Coolibah.
