High-grade gold and silver hits for Red River

Red River Resources reports high-grade gold and silver hits in the Liontown drilling campaign at its Thalanga operation in North Queensland.

The company has released assay results up to 39.3 g/t old and 2750 g/t silver from drilling at the New Queen Lens.

The Liontown project has a current total mineral resource of 3.6 million tonnes at 10 per cent zinc equivalent.

Red River commenced drilling at Liontown in June this year and has completed 34 drill holes (5278m drilled), with assay results received for 18 holes.

It has started remodelling the New Queen Lens using the drill results received to date, and this process will continue as results from the remaining 16 holes are received.

The company says the updated block model will be used to progress a preliminary mining study for the New Queen Lens, expected to be completed the first half of 2020.

The majority of the known New Queen Lens mineralisation falls within an existing mining lease held by Red River’s wholly owned subsidiary, Cromarty Resources.
