Townsville construction businesses and suppliers are being encouraged to attend information sessions next week to help them register for flood recovery work and other projects.
It comes after the Townsville Local Content Committee, formed after the recent floods, took the initiative to engage with Industry Capability Network (ICN) website providers QMI Solutions to launch a new site.
The site aims to match local businesses with Townsville’s flood recovery projects as well as providing a platform for them to promote their capabilities to other project opportunities.
Committee Chair and Regional Development Australia chief executive officer Glenys Schuntner said the committee had been working hard behind the scenes to promote opportunities for local content to be used in the recovery efforts over the next 12 months.
“The ICN Gateway provides an excellent opportunity to register for flood recovery work, as well as other project opportunities in the region,” Ms Schuntner said.
Information sessions will held on June 5 and 6 at the Master Builders Queensland office at 316 Sturt St, Townsville.
