The State Government has announced it will invest more than $30 million in a new, purpose-built hospital in Sarina – doubling its previous funding commitment for the project.
Construction is expected to start late 2021 and be finished by late 2022.
Health Minister Steven Miles said the funding boost would ensure the hospital met the needs of the community.
“This means more and better services for people in the Sarina area,” Mr Miles said.
“This preferred site at Brewers Rd will also allow opportunities for future expansion, to make sure we’re looking after Sarina as the community continues to grow.”
