The first 111 lots are nearing completion at Lendlease’s $4.7 billion Elliot Springs development outside Townsville.
Elliot Springs regional development manager Simon Walker said that stage of subdivision work should be completed by April.
“We also have our entry roads under construction and our intersection and we are forecasting that that will be completed in May,” Mr Walker said.
“The streets will be opened in June and the project will be unveiled in an opening event in July.”
The first package included a 4ha district park with an all-abilities playground, a learn-to-ride centre, mountain bike facilities, junior rugby league field, a dog off-leash area and a walking trail to the top of the nearby ridgeline.
Hansen Constructions NQ is undertaking the subdivision work while BMD are completing the intersection work.
“We are in the process of commencing works with Transcape, a local landscape company,” Mr Walker said.
Other works to come include a reservoir and a sewer pump rising main, both under design.
More work packages would be going out to tender this year, Mr Walker said.
He urged interested businesses to get in touch with the Elliot Springs team and lodge their interest.
