A $29.5 million Gladstone project has moved to the tender phase, following the closure of an expressions of interest process late last year.
Gladstone Ports Corporation’s East Shores Stage 1B project is an extension of the East Shores precinct.
The design includes a ferry transfer pontoon with a pool, fitness hub, cruise terminal plaza, foreshore café, barbeque and parkland areas, car and bus parking facilities.
GPC acting chief executive officer Craig Walker said tenders were due to close next month.
The project will be split into two major contracts; onshore and offshore works.
“GPC anticipates there will be a number of underlying sub-contracts that follow based on the works required for the project,” Mr Walker said.
