Civil contractor’s gear goes under the hammer

Civil contractor’s gear goes under the hammer

More than $5 million worth of civil and earthmoving equipment from a south-east Queensland civil contractor will be up for auction from Thursday.

O’Leary Constructions has engaged GraysOnline to conduct an online auction of the equipment.

The auction house said O’Leary was retiring some equipment and undertaking a fleet upgrade after recently completing major projects.

GraysOnline will launch an online sales event commencing at 4pm on October 17, with the range of equipment up for grabs including dozers, excavators, compactor, backhoe and a range of accessories including Trimble GPS units and various buckets and attachments.

“This online auction event is sure to generate a lot of interest from large contractors who need near-new earthmoving equipment at value-for-money prices,” Michael Pankhurst at GraysOnline said.

“Being unreserved, we expect this auction event to be extremely well-patronised.”
