Red River Resources has reported a bumper month for copper production at its Thalanga operations in North Queensland.
The result comes as the miner winds down production from its West 45 deposit and increasingly draws ore from the Far West underground development (see chart below).
For the month of January 2020 Red River reported a record monthly copper concentrate production of 860 tonnes from its Thalanga plant, up more than 30 per cent on the December total.
Monthly zinc concentrate production hit 1431 tonnes (Dec 2019: 1275 tonnes) and the lead concentrate production for January was 357 tonnes (Dec 2019: 316 tonnes).
A total of 34,503 tonnes of ore was mined and of 27,367 tonnes processed.
The amount coming from Far West increased to 26,322 tonnes of ore in January, up 12 per cent from the previous month.
