Sewerage plant issues – Port Douglas style

This 2m-plus croc has taken up residence in the pond at the Port Douglas Wastewater Treatment Plant.

Douglas Shire Council reported it to CrocWatch on March 21 and says it is still hanging around.

“Council will let the state department determine whether the crocodile is a problem crocodile and what appropriate action should be undertaken,” communications and engagement officer Tom Volling said.

Council encourages the public to report crocodile sightings to CrocWatch by calling 1300 130 372.
