Hammer time for classic car collection

Hammer time for classic car collection

Have you an itch to scratch when it comes to owning a classic car?

One look at the catalogue for an Australian auction next month would get the pulse racing for any motoring enthusiast.

The largest collection of classic cars in the Southern Hemisphere is going up for auction – with everything from a 1960 Goggomobil Dart to a
1985 Lamborghini Countach 5000 QV , classic Commodores, Ford Falcons and many more incredible automobiles set to go under the hammer.

The owner of the classic car collection at the Gosford Museum near Sydney has appointed Lloyds Classic Car Auctions as the exclusive worldwide auctioneer.

The collection of more than 200 cars, bikes and memorabilia is expected to bring more than $30 million in total.

“This impressive collection of classics is highly important to motoring enthusiasts and collectors and because there is such a wide range of cars from European, Australian and American classics we are expecting thousands of people to show up even more than the Brock Collection Auction we ran in October last year,” said chief operations officer for Lloyds Auctions Lee Hames.

The collection features an extensive range of classic and vintage cars and motorcycles including Ferraris, Aston Martins, Porsches, Fords and Holdens.

The collection is now open for bidding online and will go up for auction in a simulcast live and online event on the weekend of April 6 and 7, 2019 at the Gosford Classic Car Museum.
