Trail wins $36m funding

Douglas Shire Council has welcomed a $36 million commitment from the State Government to fund the whole Wangetti Trail project. The 94km trail will offer a six-day walking or two-day riding experience, and is expected to create up to 150 jobs and inject up to $300 million into the economy as an ecotourism attraction.
